Oak Park Family Photographer

Aside from weddings, I enjoy photographing all kinds of different things.  One of my favorites is kids.  As a family photographer, I get to meet all kinds of families.  A few weeks ago, I ventured over to Oak Park to photograph this fun family of three.  I first met this couple at a downtown Chicago Wedding last year when Evan was about 6 months old.  I was very happy to hear from them later when they asked me to take pictures of Evan walking.

As soon as I showed up, Evan was all over the place!  At 18 months old, sitting still was not his favorite thing to do.  Being a family photographer, you have to move as fast as the kids to capture the perfect moment.  In the end, we got all the perfect shots.  There were plenty of shots of smiles and laughs.

We started out at the families home and got a few pictures of them enjoying some of Evan’s favorite activites.  We then moved to downtown Oak Park to the theater and a nearby water fountain that Evan really enjoyed.  It was a little chilly that day but Evan was very determined to get himself wet!  Thankfully he was not successful.  It was not until the very end of the session when I was about to put up my camera that we got a few sweet moments of Evan.  I think at this point he was exhausted and ready for a nap, but we will take it.
